今日はV先生のレッスン♪
今日は仕事の帰りに交通事故が起こったばかりの現場を見てしまいました。
しかもすごく衝撃的だったのでそのことを先生に話ました。
How are you?
Not good.
Why?
I saw an accident on the road on my way home in the evening.
Maybe a girl.
She and her bicycle laid on the road.
Were are paramedics around the area?
Yes. but she didn't ride in an ambulance.
She maybe dead.
Because a gray sheet covered on her.
I saw an accident on the road for the first time.
こんな感じでDMEで習った言葉を使って説明しました。
すると先生は以下のようにきれいな文にしてくれました。
A girl riding her bicycle was involved in an accident with a car.
I saw her lying on the road with her bicycle next to her.
She seemed to have been hit by a vehicle.
Were are paramedics around the area?
She didn't ride a car.
She was lying on the road, covered with a sheet.
Maybe she died.
I feel bad about it.
It was the first time I witnessed an accident.

先生は話してる間に状況が思い浮かんで感情が抑えられず、涙目になって
鼻水が出てきたって笑いながら言ってました。
先生は人は死んだら別のところに行くんだってそれが運命だって。
最後には日本語で「がんばって！」って言ってくれました。
DMEを始めた頃はこんなことなど全く説明もできませんでした。
今では正しい文ではないけれど、取りあえず自分の言いたいことを
なんとか伝えることができるようになっています。
最近は短い文章を繋いで何とか少しずついろんなことが説明できるようになってきています。
まだまだ知らない単語が多いので説明に困ることもありますが、
それでもDMEを始めた頃に比べると雲泥の差です。
もちろんリンガルボックスでもレッスンで、必ず教えてもらった単語やフレーズを使って
自分で文章を作ってとよく言われるのでその効果もあるかもしれません。
でも文章を作成するときにはDMEで習った言葉を使って作ることがほどんどです。
こんな感じでもっともっと自由に話せるようになりたいですね。

What do they eat?
They eat special cat or dog food, meat, etc.
Do you always eat a bowl of soup with your dinner?
No, I don't always eat a bowl of soup with my dinner.

What would you do if you found a hedgehog in the street?
If I found a hedgehog in the street, I would do nothing.
Did you feed wild birds last winter?
No, I didn't feed wild birds last winter.
What does the hedgehog eat?
The hedgehog eats plants, fruit, insects, etc.
Do you think a hedgehog would be able to eat from a bowl?
No, I don't think a hedgehog would be able to eat from a bowl.
Why not?
Because bowls are high and hedgehog's leg and neck are short.

When an animal is ill or hurt where must we take it?
When an animal is ill or hurt we must take it to the vet's.
Do people go to the vets when they have an earache?
No, people don't go to the vets when they have an earache, but they go to the doctor's.
If you had a cat, how would you take care of it?
If I had a cat, I would feed it, fill its water bowl with water, give it some milk, play with it and take it to the vet's when it was ill.
If you had a dog, how would you take care of it?
If I had a dog, I would feed it, fill its bowl with water, take it for walks, etc.
